Great information - I always tell my clients that they should be focusing on their business instead of their accounting - especially when their are companies like yours that can do it properly at a reasonable price.
I have been selling on eBay off & on for a long time, but I have never been disciplined enough to keep track of my expenses and record my mileage, etc. with any real consistency. That sucks, because I know I'm leaving money on the table.

Every body should write off every business expenses it really helps to keep track of expenses and helps to keep your accounts clear.
I try but sometimes feel that expenses can go both ways - especially when I get benefit from them. If it is truely business - i have no problem - but when some cross the line - I hesitate.

Like many of the commenters here, I write my expenses to keep track of them and so that it would alarm me in case I go overboard in spending too much on stocks or whatever I'm buying for the business. Although I don't include my personal expenses, I still put them in my business expenses tracker but in a separate sheet.
